7's Tournaments

London Camogie 7s - Saturday 14th April 2012.

Following 5 successful 7s tournaments, Tara Camogie Club have confirmed a date of Saturday 14 April 2012 for the next Camogie 7s.

If your club would like to travel to London for the weekend to take part, please do contact us and we can let you have some accommodation and travel notes.

Numbers are limited so please contact us to ensure there is space before booking any flights etc. Any questions please let me know.

Whilst we haven’t finalised all the details yet, it’s expected that the format will be the same as the previous tournaments in plate and cup competitions at Junior and Senior grades. 

• This is a one day event with games starting approximately 10am Saturday morning. 

• The tournament is 7-a-side with maximum 3 subs allowed. 

• Irish visiting teams will be classed as Senior grade. 

• Presentations will take in the Clubhouse during the evening followed by night entertainment.

2011 - While Niamh Keating was up in A&E getting a couple of stitches in her ear lobe, her ex-Dublin teams mates Portobello won the Senior Cup by beating Holyross. The Senior Plate was won by hosts Taras who beat Maree O'Dwyer's Na Fianna in the Senior Plate. Tara Juniors won the Junior Cup and Croydon the Junior Plate. Full details

2010 - Our Tipperary visitors, Shannon Rovers, pip Tara at the posts in the Senior Cup Final, the best final yet; whilst Erin go Bragh of Birmingham claim bragging rights in the Junior Cup competition. Full details

2009 - With the weather on Friday very wet and cold it looked as if this years Tara Tournament was going to be wash out. However the sun was splitting the rocks in TCG in Greenford on Saturday morning and 11 x senior teams and 8 x junior teams helped ensure another successful tournament. Full details

2008 - For a second time Holycross Ballycahill travelled to London and took back to Tipperary not only the Getjar Senior Cup but again Siobhan Ryan collected the Senior Player of the Tournament, mirroring achievements of 2006. Full details

2006 - Tara Camogie Club’s 20th Anniversary 7-a-side tournament at Tir Chonaill Park Greenford on Saturday 22 April 2006 was an astounding success with 31 camogie games played at both Junior and Senior grade, in both cup and plate competitions. The day was opened by Mayor Colum Moloney who wished all participants the best of luck on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year. Full details
